PayPerPost!

As you probably have noticed I have written several sponsored postings through a service called Pay Per Post. Before Pay Per Post most blogers, those who get under 50 hits a day (like me), had no way to get paid for their work. Google Ads don’t even cover hosting and domain name fees and would only give you a dollar or two a month. Pay Per Post allows small-time bloggers to make modest, but still significant amounts, of money. I have made $89 through Pay Per Post. They can pay more because Pay Per Post helps to generate word of mouth marketing and gives companies a boost in SEO, google ads do neither. This isn’t something that will pay your rent and feed your children, but it paid for modest mouse and postal service CDs. I also bought some jeans and some school books. I don’t spend very much time doing it either, if you dedicated yourself to blogging I am sure you could make much more. I have only had this blog for 6 months, and been using pay per post for only 2 months.

$1k Tuesday!

In case you haven’t noticed I have been paid for some of my blog posts here on Mark’s Moolah (see all posts tagged paid) through a service called Pay Per Post. They are running a promotion where every Tuesday (they won’t say what time) they will release an “opportunity” (PayPerPost speak for a paid blog post) that is worth $1,000. That’s right, a thousand dollars for only 200 words or so. To make it even better there are no restrictions on the blog that can take it. It doesn’t matter if you have a Google Pagerank of 0 and get very little blog traffic. if you can click fast enough you can make $1000. You do need to meet PayPerPost’s basic blog requirements however, such as being active for 90 days and not having big gaps between posts. Of course this contest has caused quite a bit of excitements among bloggers who are used to being paid $5-20 per post. I think that your chances of getting this $1k opportunity are probably not much higher then that of you hitting the lottery. That said I know I will be checking several times every Tuesday and I know there will be some people glued to their computers hitting refresh every 2 minutes. This is a very smart move on PayPerPost’s part, they will get many new bloggers to sign up because of this. $1k Tuesday is sponsored by Zookoda, a platform that allows bloggers to use email marketing to drive traffic to their blog.

*Disclosure-I was paid for this post*
