Microsoft Acquires Ad Network

Microsoft is buying aQuantive, the parent company to Avenue A | Razorfish, Atlas and DRIVEpm, for $6 billion in cash. This is twice the share price and ten times revenue, so there was competition (likely Google among others). This move represents a desire to consolidate ad networks against Google, which is currently dominating this space. For more here is the TechCrunch article.
