Yahoo WIdgets
Yahoo has released an upgraded version of their desktop widgets (read here and here for more). They have been getting very good reviews so far. Desktop widgets are just little applications that run on your desktop with things like a clock, calender, weather reports, RSS feeds, to-do lists and other cool stuff. I am tempted to try it out. Ive used Google Widgets once, but they seem to get in the way more then be useful. I already have a clock on my desktop, but RSS feeds are cool. Yahoo! Widgets used to be called the Konfabulator before they were bought out by Yahoo! in July 2005.
