"Now class, everyone take out your iPod"
This is rediculous. The state legislature in Michigan (whose economy is horrible at the moment) is proposing to give every child a MP3 player. This is the very definition of wasteful spending. What educational benefit do children get from being given iPods from the government? Children are better off with quality teachers (merit pay) and smaller classes. School choice or vouchers would go a long way to improve education and cost very little to impliment. Why do politicians feel a need to waste taxpayer money?
